"God showed me something small, no bigger than a hazelnut, lying in the palm of my hand… and it was round as a ball. I looked at it with the eye of my understanding and thought: 'What can this be?' And it was generally answered thus: 'It is all that was made.' It was so small I thought it might disappear, but I was answered... everything has being through the love of God." --Julian of Norwich

Evolution of Spring

I took these pictures from the window in our stairwell over the past few weeks:

Spring has officially arrived in Vancouver. So today, in honor of my newfound free time (as 3 out of my 4 classes are finished, one paper and one creative writing portfolio left to finish up) I did some spring cleaning--washed the cabinets and the walls in the kitchen of the residue of winter semester.

Tomorrow, I'll hit up Starbucks for some free decaf for my travel mug (yay earth day in Canada!) and get to that paper: a reading of the theological implications of dialogic in Anne Lamott's Traveling Mercies. Its the first Englishy theory paper I've been able to do all year, and I'm very much looking forward to it. But first, to bed...

  1. If I enjoy reading Anne Lamott, then maybe I'll enjoy reading your paper when your done with it? Just an idea.
